Carpe diem " why? and why not?"

Do you agree with the famous Latin saying carpe diem? Why? or Why not?

I would say yes and no to this question. I would say yes i agree with this because true tomorrows not a promising day. Also nobody knows when it's there time to go and leave this earth so you have to live that day and hope tommorrow comes. I would say no because although tomorrows not a promissing day theres also the next day to think about. You dont want to go out thinking this is your last day you also have to think about the future and what it may bring.

Why do you think religions exist?

I think religion exsist because there are so many people in the world and we need them. Because people believe in so many different things. Most people are not going to believe in something that they disapprove or dislike, So there are many different beliefs. Because religion is so complex and have so many different beliefs the world needs them to keep peace.

What does it mean to be civilized? What makes something or someone "civilized?"



There are three definitions for the word civilized. One is having a highly developed society and culture. The other is showing evidence of moral and intellectual advancement; humane, ethical, reasonable. Another one is marked by refinement in taste and manners; cultured; polished. I think to be civilized means to be able to think of the good of society and have a defined culture. Showing the good for society and the cultures is one way of being civilized. I think the term civilized mean alot of things. I think somthing that is civilized is when we're not going by our first instincts and we're using our brain or doing something for the good of society instead of just ourselves.
